This painting, entitled "Back to the Start" is very special to me because it was painted after a wonderful painting experience in Sante Fe. During that workshop, I discovered a newfound gratitude for the beauty in a sunrise like no other I had ever seen. When I returned to my studio, my brush strokes became much looser and I found a sense of freedom that I had not felt before.
